Prince George's County police are seeking information about a fatal hit-and-run crash in Suitland.

About 8:30 p.m. Saturday, officers went to the intersection of Silver Hill Road and Suitland Road and found 55-year-old Michael Eugene White suffering from trauma consistent with being struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A preliminary investigation found that White was walking along the northbound shoulder of Silver Hill Road when he entered the roadway in front of the car that struck him. The car fled and was last seen heading northbound on Silver Hill Road.

The striking vehicle is described as a white Chevrolet Impala that could possibly now have front-end damage.

Anyone with information can call police at 301-731-4422
