A Prince George's County man was arrested on assault charges after police said he tried to ram his car into his wife's vehicle while she was driving.

According to Greenbelt police, Anthony Posey got into an argument with his estranged wife Tuesday on the 7500 block of Mission Drive in Lanham. Following the verbal dispute, police said Posey followed his wife and tried to ram his vehicle into his wife's car on Greenbelt Road.

Posey realized she was driving to the Greenbelt police station and drove away, police said.

Greenbelt police issued felony warrants on charges of first- and second-degree assault, and Posey was arrested in Beltsville that day without incident.
