Rand Paul: Are we going to start launching Hellfire missiles against Internet crackpots?

During his filibuster on the Senate floor this afternoon, Sen. Rand Paul questioned whether the United States would start launching drone strikes against citizens who weren’t actively involved in combat against the government.

“Has anyone ever been on the Internet? Paul asked, “Have you ever seen crackpots on the Internet who say all kinds of crazy things? If you’re saying crazy things and they happen to be against your government is that enough for a Hellfire missile to come down on your house?”
