On CNN's "Crossfire" Monday night, Sen. Rand Paul explained that President Obama has lost credibility in the fight against Syria.

"The president has lost face, he's lost credibility," the Kentucky Republican said, pointing out that Obama was wrong to draw red lines "willy-nilly."

In spite of Obama's mishandling of the issue, Paul dismissed the idea that it would hurt the reputation of the United States if Obama chose not to act in Syria.

"I don't think, all of a sudden, American credibility goes out the window," Paul said. "The president's credibility is on the line, but American credibility is not."
