The Associated Press obtains advance text of Sen. Rand Paul’s immigration reform speech which will be delivered later this morning at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Under Paul’s plan, illegal immigrants would receive temporary work visas and be put in the system for legal immigration – but in the back of the line of those already in the system.

The Associated Press also reports that Paul’s speech “is peppered with Spanish phrases from his youth in Texas, references to his immigrant grandparents and praise for Latino culture.”
