STORYLINE:

Violence continued in the Mideast on Wednesday as an Israeli airstrike hit a currency exchange office in Gaza City and Israeli soldiers fired teargas at protesters in the West Bank.

Emergency services worked to extinguish a fire burning in the rubble of the building, no injuries were reported in the strike.

Meanwhile on the outskirts of Ramallah, Palestinian youths clashed with Israeli soldiers, letting off fireworks in the soldier's direction as Israeli forces returned fire with teargas.

And in Beit El in the West Bank, Palestinian police clashed with local protesters in an attempt to stop them encountering Israeli forces.
