Redskins injury update

Left guard Kory Lichtensteiger did not practice for a third straight day and is questionable for Sunday’s playoff game vs. Seattle. Lichtensteiger sprained his left ankle in Sunday’s win over Dallas.

Also, the Redskins activated corner Cedric Griffin, who missed the final four games for a drug suspension. Corner Dominique Johnson (knee) was placed on injured reserve to make room for Griffin.

Safety DeJon Gomes (knee) is questionable, but did practice.

Lichtensteiger said earlier this week that he’d likely be a game-time decision; nothing has changed.

“My gut tells my I want to play on Sunday,” Lichtensteiger said. “Whatever happens, happens. It’s the first playoff game in my career so I’m going to try and be out there.”

If not, then rookie Josh LeRibeus will make his first start. He replaced Lichtensteiger for approximately 20 plays in the 28-18 win over Dallas. LeRibeus has worked with the starters all week.

“It’s come a long ways,” LeRibeus said of his comfort level. “Just getting in there, knowing what to do snap, snap, snap.”

There’s no doubt Seattle would test him if he does start. The Seahawks will run stunts and do so with a speedy front.

“Being a rookie and them knowing if I’m in there, I imagine that might go through their mind,” LeRibeus said. “I haven’t been able to think that way because I am the rookie but I imagine they’ll have something in store for me.”
