Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said there has been another incident involving the deadly toxin ricin, this time at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Southeast Washington.
Reid made the comment when reporters asked him about a report that police have released a man who was arrested last week for allegedly sending ricin-laced letters to a President Obama, Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., and a judge.
Paul Kevin Curtis, an Elvis impersonator from Corinth, Miss., is free on bond after a hearing in which investigators said they could find no evidence connecting Curtis to the ricin letters.
Reid said he was told about the new ricin incidents Tuesday, but that he did not have additional details.
