Rep. Allen West has finally conceded his house race to Democrat Patrick Murphy after two weeks of challenging the vote count.

“While many questions remain unanswered, today I am announcing that I will take no further action to contest the outcome of this election,” West said in a statement to Politico.

Murphy’s campaign declared victory on Sunday after a partial recount showed that Murphy actually gained votes.

On Fox News this morning, West said that he chose to concede although he mentioned "incredible voting irregularities" in San Lucia and Palm Beach counties.

"Now is not the time for the people in Congressional District 18 to be left in the lurch," he said.
