Rep. Pete King, R-N.Y., who chairs a House subcommittee on intelligence and counter-terrorism, suggested that the two people suspected of bombing the Boston Marathon intended to initiate a “second round” of attacks.

“They had apparently quite a few other explosives with them, which, to me, can only be used for a second round of attacks,” King speculated on CNN while discussing the shootout that took place last night, in which one of the brothers were killed.

NBC News reported today that “seven (7) IEDs have been recovered in the searches so far, some in Watertown, some at the house in Cambridge.”
