Five DeMatha Catholic High School football players have been removed from the team after prostitutes were hired, The Washington Post reported.

The incident occurred at 5 a.m. Saturday at a hotel, following the team's game in North Carolina. An athlete's parent told the Post that players snuck three prostitutes into the hotel, and some engaged in sexual activities with them.

Two players have withdrawn from the school, two have been recommended for expulsion pending appeal and a fifth faces a disciplinary hearing this morning.

DeMatha, located in Hyattsville, is nationally known for its athletics.
