That didn’t take long.

D.C. United is pretty convinced that Andy Najar is just with RSC Anderlecht to train until the end of the year. But just as there was a curious holdup in United announcing his training stint with the Belgian club – due to discussions about a loan deal – there are signs that Anderlecht would like to have plans for Najar beyond the next couple of weeks.

According to this report from Anderlecht-Online.com, after one day of practice Najar is already being mentioned for the Belgian squad’s winter camp in Turkey during early January. His schedule is open, as he was left off the Honduran national team roster for the Central American Cup tournament which also takes place next month.

“Najar trained only twice, but fits here pretty quickly,” Anderlecht manager John Van den Brom said, according to an online translation.

We’ll have to see if it also translates into something more than an extending training opportunity.
