Reporters given booze before VP debate

Reporters covering Thursday night's vice presidential debate found a little treat in their media swag bags: bottles of 90-proof Bulliet Bourbon. Michael Strysick, spokesman for debate host Centre College, told Yeas & Nays that the school wanted to welcome reporters to the state and give them a taste of the home brew. The bourbon wasn't the only treat in the bags -- Strysick said that there was also "a wonderful reporter's notebook that we hope people will treasure."
