TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Restaurant Week is under way in Baltimore County, and it lasts a lot longer than a week.

The promotion designed to get people eating at the county's restaurants starts Friday and runs through Jan. 27.

Forty-four restaurants are participating. They're offering discounted fixed-price lunches and dinners ranging from about $10 to $35.

Officials say the county's restaurants generated $1.3 billion in revenue last fiscal year, second in the state to Montgomery County.
