RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Reynolds American Inc. CEO Daniel Delen received a pay package valued at $10.45 million in 2013, about 21 percent more than the previous year.
That's according to an Associated Press analysis of data filed by the nation's second-biggest tobacco company with regulators Friday.
Delen received a salary of nearly $1.1 million and a $2.5 million performance-based bonus. Delen also received stock awards valued at $6.6 million and other compensation worth $223,201.
The 48-year-old received $8.65 million in 2012. He's served as CEO since March 2011.
Last year, the maker of Camel and Pall Mall cigarettes saw its profit rise 35 percent to $1.72 billion on revenue of $8.24 billion, excluding excise taxes.
The AP's calculation counts salary, bonuses, perks and stock and options awarded to the executive during the year.
