RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Sally Green is stepping down as first vice president and chief operating officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.

The Richmond Fed says in a news release that Green will retire in May.

She has served as first vice president and chief operating officer since 2006 and has been with the Federal Reserve System for more than 35 years.

A search is under way for Green's replacement.
