Sure, he's a famous child actor, but Ricky Schroder did not expect Washington to roll out the red carpet for him this week, when he was in town to support the National Guard Youth Foundation's ChalleNGe Champions program. "I had a chance to meet with a representative, but I actually couldn't get past the security line -- I got stuck in the rain," he told reporters at Tuesday night's gala for the cause. "And I finally made it and got caught up to the group and met with Sen. [Mary] Landrieu, who is a huge champion." So why not just cut? "No, you can't cut lines, that's not the way it works," Schroder laughed.

This was a much different Ricky than the one who allegedly got into it with an airport employee in Los Angeles earlier this week. According to gossip site TMZ, Schroder had an altercation at LAX on Monday. Schroder's lawyer said the woman was "rude and confrontational," whereas the employee says Schroder slapped her hand when she scolded him for trying to board with one too many bags. Police were called to the scene but no arrests were made.
