PARIS (AP) — Reporters Without Borders says two Ukrainian journalists and two activists who were abducted at a checkpoint in Crimea along with a driver have been freed.

The five disappeared March 9 on the isthmus that connects Crimea to mainland Ukraine and were freed late Tuesday, according to the statement Wednesday from the media rights group. All five have left Crimea, the statement said.

The group says an Italian news crew was stopped and threatened at the same checkpoint on Tuesday, and that gunmen allowed them to leave only after seizing their laptops and other equipment.
