The RNC has just released a list of 17 congressional candidates who are slated to speak at the Republican National Convention. But in spite of calls from conservative women to include more pro-life women on the stage, only two of the speakers are women, Jackie Walorski, who is running for congress in Indiana-2, and Deb Fischer, who is running for the U.S. Senate in Nebraska. Here is the list: U.S. Senate candidates:

  • U.S. Rep. Rick Berg, North Dakota
  • Deb Fischer, Nebraska

U.S. House of Representatives candidates:

  • U.S. Rep. Dan Benishek (MI-01)
  • U.S. Rep. Quico Canseco (TX-23)
  • U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz (UT-3)
  • U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy (WI-07)
  • U.S. Rep. Tim Scott (SC-01)
  • John Archer (IA-02)
  • Andy Barr (KY-06)
  • Steve Daines (MT-AL)
  • Ricky Gill (CA-09)
  • Richard Hudson (NC-08)
  • Mark Meadows (NC-11)
  • Keith Rothfus (PA-12)
  • David Rouzer (NC-07)

“These men and women have been back home, meeting with their neighbors, listening to their stories about how they’ve suffered under a poor economy and explaining how Republican policies and values can offer a better future for them and their families,” RNC chair Reince Priebus said.  “They know we can do better.”

Yesterday, the DNC announced a list of women speakers yesterday, including  Caroline Kennedy, actress Eva Longoria, Sandra Fluke , Tammy Baldwin, Tammy Duckworth , Montana Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau, NARAL President Nancy Keenan, Lilly Ledbetter, Barbara Mikulski and Planned Parenthood Action Fund President Cecile Richards.
