"Not in New York, that's for sure," answered NFL commissioner Roger Goodell  to a question posed by Politico's Mike Allen about whether "Tebow-mania" had subsided.

Goodell said that quarterback Tim Tebow was popular because he was a "winner" noting that he "put the Broncos on his back and carried them to the playoffs last year." Tebow now plays for the New York Jets.

Goodell added that Tebow would be the "first to admit" that it was a team effort.

"I think he's a fine young man that you would be happy to have your kids follow," Goodell added.

Goodell took part in a Politico Playbook event held this afternoon.
