GOProud, a conservative gay group, emailed reporters the following announcement this afternoon:

Please join GOProud to celebrate our endorsement of the Romney-Ryan ticket on Monday, October 8th, 6 pm – 8 pm at the Hotel Monaco, 700 F Street NW, Washington, DC.  This event is an important opportunity for the conservative movement to demonstrate our unity in our efforts to defeat Barack Obama in November.  Our event will feature special guest Bay Buchanan, Senior Advisor for the Mitt Romney for President campaign. ($50 suggested minimum contribution to GOProud.)

For those who don’t know, not only is Buchanan a Romney campaign staffer, but she is also Pat Buchanan’s sister. That Buchanan is not a big fan of gay rights.
