Romney disavowed pro-life endorsement in 2002

Moments ago in the debate, Mitt Romney defended his pro-life record as governor of Massachusetts, in part by citing support of a Massachusetts pro-life group. But back in 2002, he ran away from an endorsement from Massachusetts Citizens for Life, saying emphatically, of the endorsement, "I don't know about the endorsement of Mass Citizens for life I didn't seek it, I didn't ask for it." He then went on to describe his pro-choice views.
