Mitt Romney found a golden egg in the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Obamacare, as the conservative grassroots have rallied to donate over $1.5 million in the last four hours.

The campaign has raised over $1.5 million on over 9,500 donations, according to Romney campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul. Those figures indicate an average donation of $111 since this morning.

“[I]f we want to get rid of Obamacare, we’re going to have to replace President Obama,” Romney told supporters after the court announced the Obamacare ruling.

Romney’s difficulty to raise money among the grassroots was a regular storyline throughout the Republican primar. Today, the Supreme Court appears to have solved it.
