Politico’s Manu Raju writes an excellent piece this morning highlighting the stormy arrival of Sen. Ted Cruz R-Texas – already clashing with Sens. John McCain, Bill Nelson, Carl Levin, and Chuck Schumer.

Cruz’s behavior earns some cautionary advice from some of his Senate colleagues such as Sen. Lindsey Graham and Sen. Claire McCaskill, who suggest that he could be a little nicer.

But fellow freshman Sen. Marco Rubio R-Fla. has nothing but praise for his colleague: “I think he’s going to be a superstar. You’re already starting to see some of that. He’s just smart as a whip.”
