Rush Limbaugh disagreed with President Obama’s characterization of Mitt Romney as “Robin Hood in reverse.” The president called Romney, “Romney-hood” suggesting that Romney would “rob the poor to feed the rich.”
Limbaugh pointed out that the idea of Robin Hood stealing money from was a “misunderstanding” of the story, that was used by Democrats to whack Republicans.
“I’ll bet that more than half the people in this country think that what Robin Hood did was steal from the rich and take back and give it to Lady Marion so that she would put out,” Limbaugh said sarcastically. “Everyone thinks that Robin Hood was stealing money from the rich and giving it back to the citizens of Sherwood Forest.”
But Limbaugh insisted that the opposite was true, as Robin Hood stole primarily from the government.
“Robin Hood was stealing from the government,” explained Limbaugh. “Robin Hood was a tea party activist. Robin Hood was anti-taxes.”
