On Saturday Night Live last night, the cast mocked President Obama’s press conference warning of the financial consequences of the sequestration cuts.

The character playing President Obama opened the show explaining that Americans still don’t really understand the impact of the sequester cuts.

“I could explain in financial terms or in human terms, but since I really have no idea how money works or budgets work, I’ll go in human terms instead,” Obama said frankly.

The cuts, insists Obama, will hit the White House as Michelle Obama will only do four television shows a week – “down from 75.”

After bringing up a series of federal workers explaining the budget cuts, the President explains to the people that America will survive.

“Trust me, nine months from now, you won’t remember this sequester ever happened,” he said. “Why? Because there will be another way worse financial crisis to deal with.”
