Rumors of Mariah Carey’s pregnancy have been swirling for months. And her behavior at hubby Nick Cannon’s birthday party seemed to all but confirm them. The diva, known for her love of Champagne, stuck to cranberry juice — which she sipped while hunkered in her seat, her curves cloaked under a raincoat.
“Mariah wasn’t really mingling,” a source told the New York Daily News of the songbird, who stayed put in her spot at nightclub Lavo “practically the whole night.”
Mimi arrived at the NYC hot spot through the back door and wouldn’t pose for photos until she had been hustled into the bathroom to primp with a “team of stylists and makeup artists in tow.” She finally ditched her raincoat to show off a short, baggy dress that the source said covered a rather prominent belly.
Come on, Mariah, just make an announcement already!
We’re sure there are plenty of ladies out there who are jealous of Kim Kardashian’s curves — or of their significant other’s attraction to said curves. But one envious woman took that sentiment a little too far by throwing a drink at the reality TV star when she agreed to pose for a picture with the woman’s boyfriend.
Photos posted by TMZ show Kim’s not-quite-brother-in-law Scott Disick shouting and being held back from the crowd outside NYC’s Juliet, as the Kardashian posse exited the club after the kerfuffle. A cool and collected, though soaking wet, Kim was seen calmly making her way through the fray.
The “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” star assured fans online that she was “totally fine” following the fracas, explaining, “A drunk male fan came up to me and asked to take a picture, and I obliged, but his girlfriend, who was also drunk, got a little out of hand.”
“None of us were drinking,” Kim said. “We just wanted a fun family night out, but when people see the cameras rolling, they try to get attention. I always take the high road, so we all left straight after and didn’t feed into their drama.”
New “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez and host Ryan Seacrest are putting forth a united front in the face of rumors that they’re already rivals.
With the next season on the horizon, reports claim the two are engaged in a war of egos, squabbling over who gets better perks and top billing.
But J.Lo laughed off such talk, complaining to Ryan on his radio show that “I’m there two weeks, and we [supposedly] have a major feud — a diva battle. It’s hysterical. It’s crazy.”
“Not only is that so untrue, [but] Jennifer and I have known each other for a long time before all of this, and we actually have a similar sense of humor,” Ryan said, according to People magazine. “So when we’re on the air and off the air, we’re usually having a laugh.”
What are these two thinking? Even if they’re not really feuding, they ought to know it’s better for ratings to keep the rumors going. After all, with Simon Cowell out of the picture, “Idol” desperately needs to stir up some drama!
