During a radio interview, Sen. Rand Paul R-Ky. was asked about the news that actress Ashley Judd was exploring a run for U.S. Senator of Kentucky.

“She’s way damn too liberal for our country, for our state,” Paul said frankly. “She hates our biggest industry, which is coal. So … good luck bringing the ‘I hate coal’ message to Kentucky.”

Paul joked that he “thought she was running for Parliament,” since Judd owns a home in Scotland.

“I think she’d fit right in in the English Parliament,” he said.

“Here’s the other thing,” Paul added. “She’s got to get back and forth between Scotland and Kentucky, to campaign, they don’t have the Concorde any more.”
