The federal agencies dealing with immigration issues will run out of money by mid-September if Congress fails to grant President Obama's $3.7 billion spending request to stem the flow of children crossing the border, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson warned Thursday. "Doing nothing is not an option," Johnson said at a hearing by Senate Appropriations Committee on the funding request. Johnson said Immigration and Customs Enforcement will run out of money by mid-August and Customs and Border Protection agencies by mid-September at the current rate of spending.
