Christy Turlington Burns petitioned Capitol Hill on Thursday. The retired supermodel met with Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minn., while representing Every Mother Counts, the organization she founded to improve global maternal health. Burns presented a petition that asks female members of the 113th Congress to work together to stop preventable deaths related to pregnancy and childbirth.

No sign of her husband, actor/filmmaker Edward Burns, this trip.
