Former President Carter left the warmth of Georgia to spend the day in the District despite a possible "snowquester."

The 39th president ate Tuesday's most important meal of the day at Range in Friendship Heights, according to a tweet from chef Bryan Voltaggio. Carter later visited the American University Washington College of Law, where he met student leaders and ambassadors of the Organization of American States.
