Six people were injured after a car collided with a Metrobus, authorities said.

The accident occurred on the 3400 block of Woodley Road NW at 6:38 a.m., according to police. A car ran a red light and struck a 96 bus, causing the bus to veer into a tree, WMATA spokesman Dan Stessel said.

The drivers of both vehicles were injured, as were four bus passengers. None of the injuries were life threatening, Stessel said.
