Sleep next to power during Inauguration weekend

Inauguration is still weeks away, but Craigslist is already flush with rental options from enterprising Washingtonians looking to make $1,000 off their spare bedrooms. Hot commodities include access to a "collection of philosophy, economics, and English literature books" in Fairfax, Va. and "hot chocolate as bonus" in Arlington, Va..

Our favorite? For just $400 a night, guests can stay "at a prestigious crossroads of politics, business and tourism" -- a one-bedroom apartment on the Hill. "From this address," the ad promises, "people who run the government walk to work."

In addition to all this adjacent power, there's also a convertible queen bed.
