KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) — Here are two images of snowboarder Jackie Hernandez being helped by medics after she crashed during a seeding run in the women's snowboard cross competition on Sunday morning. These were taken by AP photographer Andy Wong.

Just minutes earlier, Helene Olafsen of Norway was also taken off the course with an injury. And the accidents come a day after Russian skicross racer Maria Komissarova of Russia sustained a spinal injury during training — on the very same slope.
