It's been over six weeks since the over 200 Nigerian girls were kidnapped by terrorist group Boko Haram. The story was largely ignored on the world stage until a social media campaign with the Twitter #BringBackOurGirls gained momentum and shone a spotlight on the story. Since the campaign began, over 3.5 million tweets have gone out, keeping awareness of the story high. As of May 30, the girls are still being held captive.
