"Oh my gosh, it's so hard. I'm sitting in my room. I'm watching 'Scandal.' I'm just trying to hang out, but it's so rewarding once you come out here."

-- Olympic sprinter Allyson Felix telling NBC News Tuesday what she's been doing between her very quick races. Felix won the gold medal on Wednesday in the women's 200 meters. ABC's "Scandal" was in the news earlier this week when the Associated Press reported that embattled D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray sought advice from Judy Smith, the very crisis-management expert that Kerry Washington's character is based off of on the show, which takes place in D.C. Smith also serves as the show's co-executive producer.
