"After chemotherapy, Barbara Boxer just isn't scary anymore."

- Longtime ABC News journalist Cokie Roberts, introducing former Hewlett-Packard CEO and failed California U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina at Wednesday's La Vie En Rose luncheon at the French Embassy, which raised funds for George Washington's Mobile Mammography Program. Fiorina spoke of how she and Roberts became closer because of their shared experience of being breast cancer survivors. "Cancer is a very tough passage, but cancer also brings with it many blessings," Fiorina said. "One of the blessings cancer brings is an unexpected intimacy -- I will never forget Cokie's kindness to me."
