Speakeasy: Whoops? The Economist doesn't factor college humor into student outreach

- New hashtag for the Economist's publicity outreach to college students. The New York Times tells us the business news and international affairs magazine is hoping to hook younger readers, but we're pretty sure most of the hashtag's current users on Twitter are talking about a different type of affair.

Even though the magazine has recruited several comedians -- such as J.B. Smoove, Sara Schaefer and Gavin McInnes -- to promote the "Dare 2 Go Deep With The Economist" campaign, so far its sense of humor seems to have overlooked the lowbrow potential.
