Not feeling very romantic this Valentine's Day? Wish there was a Jessica Biel-thrown "I Hate Valentine's Day" party you can attend? Well, celebrate the "holiday" in a way the French know best -- with infidelity. Maybe bring a date or just bring yourself and a friend to the premiere of the Alliance Francaise's "Les Infideles" (The Players), a comedy that gives you an alternative look at love. Directed by Emmanuelle Bercot, the film plays on the humorous subtleties and nuances of male infidelity in seven vignettes. This is part of the Alliance Francaise's Cine Francophone series that shares all of the must-see films produced in French.

The evening may offer comedic relief on a sometimes stressful day (plus, you'll receive a glass of bubbly upon arrival, which always helps). The screening will be held at 7 p.m. at the Alliance Francaise-Dupont (2142 Wyoming Ave. NW). Tickets are $4 for AFDC members and $6 for nonmembers.

All Things Gold 017 is bringing a lineup to U Street Music Hall (1115 U St. NW) that's sure to mend any broken heart, or just make you forget about V-Day for the evening -- featuring three hot acts of the moment: HAIM, the Virgins and Robert DeLong.

The HAIM sisters are an L.A.-based trio that just landed atop the BBC's Sound of 2013 and are a modern take on the best '80s bands you can think of. Co-headlining will be indie veterans the Virgins, who made their big return to the scene after a bit of a hiatus; they have a new album, "Strike Gently," to be released this March. Kicking things off on stage will be Robert DeLong, who'll wake you up with a mind-bending mix of electronic.
