During an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, director Steven Spielberg revealed that he “admires” MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.

“I’m a news junkie, so I’m always reading and watching the news,” Spielberg said.

When asked which network he favored, Spielberg explained that he watches “everything.”

“You’ve got to watch everything. You can’t just watch one network because every network has a different point of  view, and you can’t just attach yourself to one,” he explained.

Spielberg admitted, however, that he watched MSNBC for election coverage.

When asked who his heroes were, Spielberg named Nelson Mandela, former President Bill Clinton and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
