MSNBC host Ed Schultz is getting fed up with the controversy surrounding Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail account and the former secretary of State’s refusal to publicly address the issue outside of social media.
After downplaying the story last week, the liberal commentator urged Clinton on “The Ed Show” Monday to “say something as soon as possible” beyond her tweet from several days ago.
I want the public to see my email. I asked State to release them. They said they will review them for release as soon as possible.

Hillary has delivered speeches at multiple public events in the past week without saying a word about her private e-mail address but is slated to hold a news conference Tuesday regarding the controversy.
“Personally, I think she really needs to step out beyond Twitter and say something as soon as possible,” Schultz stressed. “Democrats need to make sure that Hillary does not have any kind of problems like this before announcing to run in 2016.”
“For Democrats, this isn’t about Hillary,” Schultz warned. “This is about winning the White House and getting a candidate who’s not going to have problems like this! And, to think that it’s just going to go away, well, it’s not, or Dianne Feinstein wouldn’t have said anything.”
On Sunday’s episode of “Meet the Press,” Feinstein, a Democratic senator, encouraged Clinton to “step up and come out and state exactly what the situation is.”
Schultz said Monday that Clinton’s e-mail controversy is “exactly what the Democrats don’t need right now,” adding that it would be “so simple” for Hillary to address the issue and make it go away.
