A 29-year-old District man wanted in connection with two separate murders, including the killing of his girlfriend in front of their children, has been arrested in Pennsylvania.

Reynard Cook was captured near State College over the weekend, nearly one year to the day that his girlfriend was slain, May 20, 2012, authorities say. He is awaiting extradition to D.C.

Cook disappeared in February 2012 after D.C. police said he got into an argument with Yolanda Stone and fatally shot her on the 7200 block of Alden Place NE while the couple's children were nearby. Stone died from her injuries three months later.

Cook was also wanted for the July 2007 killing of Nacarto Gladden on Quarles Street NE.
