Why does Starbucks want to open stores in Vietnam?
The java giant will open its first coffee shop in Ho Chi Minh City next month as part of its Asian expansion. But Starbucks already has ties to the country. Vietnam is the world's second-largest coffee producer, behind only Brazil, and provides beans to Starbucks. The French introduced their former colony to coffee in the 19th century, though Vietnamese coffee is stronger than European espresso.

About 65 Martian rocks have been recovered on Earth, mainly in Antarctica and the Sahara Desert. The oldest of the blackish meteorites dates back 4.5 billion years, scientists said. The newest ones are no more than 600 million years old. Scientists who spent the past year studying the latest find, a baseball-size meteor found in the Sahara, said it's very similar to volcanic rocks found on Mars' surface.
Why did Al-Jazeera buy Current TV?
The pan-Arab news network, owned by the government of Qatar, bought the cable channel partly owned by former Vice President Gore for $500 million in hopes of expanding its American audience from the current 4.7 million homes to 50 million. DirecTV, Dish Network, Comcast Corp., AT&T U-verse and Verizon FiOS will all carry Al-Jazeera America. The network, which now has five U.S. news bureaus, will add five to 10 more.
