Three women arrested in gas station robbery

Three women were charged for the Sunday night armed robbery of a gas station/convenience store in Sterling, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday. A customer first captured one of the suspects and two others were arrested by deputies arriving at the Exxon gas station in the 23000 block of Pacific Boulevard. Morgan A. Jennings, 21; Jessica A. Collette, 30; and Rebekah J. White, 20, were charged with robbery and use of a firearm, the sheriff’s office said. – Dan Genz

School bus driver charged with sex crimes

An Arlington County Public Schools bus driver was charged Jan. 28 with sexual crimes against two children, both family members, under his care, Prince William County police reported Monday. Timothy J. Robinson, 38, of Lake Ridge, is being held without bond pending a hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. Arlington schools spokesman Frank Bellavia said Robinson has been suspended. He has been a bus driver for the school system since 1994, Bellavia said. – Dan Genz

Teenager dead on scene

after crashing car into tree

David Winston Wilmot II, 18, of Bethesda, died early Monday morning when he lost control of his 2001 Jaguar while heading west on Bradley Boulevard and struck a tree around 5:38 a.m., Montgomery County police said. The car came to rest in a nearby yard and Wimot was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed and the investigation is continuing. Brothers in life and in crime

Three brothers were formally charged in a police sting that recovered $70,000 in cash and two kilograms of cocaine in Northwest Washington, according to federal court documents.

A federal grand jury last week indicted the men ontwo counts of possession of cocaine with intent to sell, according to documents.

Police arrested the men after they allegedly tried to sell the drugs to an informant at the Safeway parking lot at 6500 Piney Branch on Jan. 15, according to court documents. – Scott McCabe
