Fairfax County police are looking for a man who assaulted a teenager in a library bathroom.
A 17-year-old girl told police she was being followed by a man at Thomas Jefferson Library, located at 7415 Arlington Blvd., on Tuesday.
The teen ducked into a bathroom on her way out of the library in an effort to dodge the suspect, but he followed her inside, touched her and pushed her as she ordered him to leave. After kicking the suspect and screaming inside the bathroom, the suspect fled, according to authorities.
Library staff who called police said the suspect had been seen in the library before, but were unaware of any other incidents or assaults.
Police described the suspect as a black man with a medium-brown complexion, between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 to 180 pounds. He has brown eyes, a gap in his front teeth, a diagonal scar on his forehead and has a clean-shaven head.
He was seen wearing a pale green button-down shirt with khaki pants, and carried a leather briefcase.
