A 15-year-old boy was stabbed as a Metro car traveled from Navy Yard to Waterfront along the Green Line.

He sustained a non-life threatening wound to his leg and was taken to the hospital.

The teen exited at Waterfront Station after the incident occurred. Both transit police and Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the scene and canvased the area. A Metro spokesman said authorities discovered evidence, but that no arrests had been made.

The spokesman did not know the status of the 15-year-old teen but reaffirmed that the injuries had been non-life threatening.
