A 17-year-old boy has been killed in a single-car crash in Prince George's County, police said.

The teen was driving in the 11900 block of Brandywine Road in Clinton at about 3 p.m. Wednesday when he lost control of his Acura, left the roadway and struck a tree. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene, Prince George's County police said.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash, but they said that weather does not appear to be a factor. The teen was wearing his seat belt.
