Silver Spring man sentenced for child porn

A Silver Spring man was sentenced to nearly four years in prison on a charge of possession of child pornography.

Marc Gange, 35, pleaded guilty in February in federal court in D.C. He admitted contacting a man online who claimed to be sexually abusing his 12-year-old daughter. It turned out to be an undercover D.C. police detective.

Gange, who worked as a program officer at the World Wildlife Fund, sent the detective dozens of images of adult men engaged in sexual acts with children. During his online chats with the undercover officer, Gange also talked about secretly photographing female interns at his D.C. office and taking workout undergarments from one young worker.

Following his arrest in December 2012, officers found three videos and more than 1,000 images of child pornography on Grange's computer.

D'Anna lost control and the car crossed the eastbound lane of Darnestown Road near Bucklodge Road and struck a tree, Montgomery County police said.

D'Anna was taken to a hospital, where she died. Her daughter, the only passenger, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
