Two shot by intruder in Tyler House

Two people were shot early Tuesday morning in an apartment at Tyler House, the low-income complex near where 13 people were shot eight days earlier, police said.

During Tuesday's attack, two intruders entered an apartment. One of them grabbed a male occupant by the neck, and a female occupant intervened, D.C. police spokesman Officer Anthony Clay said. One of the intruders then shot the male victim in the arm and chest and the female victim in the hand.

Teens arrested in attempted murder of cab driver

Four Howard County high school students have been charged in connection with an alleged attempted murder of a cab driver, police said.

The driver told police that after he picked up the teenagers on March 1, one of them told him to pull over, and then one of the passengers attempted to choke him while another took out a handgun and threatened to kill him.

Three of the teenagers were charged as adults with attempted murder, and all of them were charged with conspiracy, armed robbery and robbery, police said.
