Police seek duo who dumped body in Woodbridge

Prince William County police are looking for two men who dumped a body on a Woodbridge street.

A resident spotted the body in front of his home on the 15000 block of Cardin Place at about 11 p.m. Tuesday and called police. Witnesses told police that two men pulled up in a white minivan and left the victim before fleeing.

The men were described as thin and about 5 feet 6 inches tall. One was described as Hispanic with black curly hair and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The other was either Hispanic or white and was wearing a black short-sleeve T-shirt with a red-and-white square design and a black stocking cap.

Girl attacked while walking to Va. school bus stop

The Fauquier County Sheriff's Office is investigating the attempted abduction of a 13-year-old girl who was walking to a school bus stop.

About 7 a.m. Wednesday, the girl was walking on Blake Lane in Bealeton when she walked past a van with two men in it. She was then grabbed from behind but was able to break free, authorities said.

The van was white and had a side door on the passenger's side. One of the men in the van was described as about 5 feet 7 inches tall, slender, possibly Hispanic and in his 30s.

Teen charged as adult in Olney shooting

A 17-year-old boy is being charged as an adult in connection with a shooting in Olney that may have been drug-related, police said.

Daniel Alexander Paynter, of Olney, was arrested Tuesday on charges of attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery, according to Montgomery County police.

Paynter allegedly shot a 22-year-old Rockville man inside a vehicle on the 3900 block of Morningwood Drive about 10:30 p.m. Monday. The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries but is expected to survive, police said.
